Privacy at Heldark

Last updated June 2026

This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Plain language, no fine print games.

Who runs this

Heldark is run by Heldark Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. For any question about your data, or to have it deleted, write to privacy@heldark.com or use the "Get help" form inside the app.

What we collect

Two things only.

We do not ask for your real name or your photo. We do not track you across the internet. We do not run ads.

Who can see what you write

The person you connect with sees your card and the messages you send them. They never see your email, and they never see a name, because we do not have one for you.

To keep people safe, an automated system checks messages for signs that someone is in danger. If you report a message, one of our people reads that message so we can act on it.

Where your data is kept

Your data is stored on servers inside the European Union, run for us by Supabase, and protected so that only your own account can reach your own data.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists, so your card and your history are there when you return. When you delete your account, we delete your data from our servers. This cannot be undone, and a shared conversation is removed for both people.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or delete everything yourself at any time from inside the app. You can also write to privacy@heldark.com.

You have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you think we have handled your data wrongly. We would rather you tell us first so we can put it right.

If something goes wrong

If your data is ever exposed by a security problem, we will act quickly, and where the law requires it, we will tell the regulator and we will tell you.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page, and if the change matters to you, we will tell you.
